In I Corinthians 13: 4-7, Saint Paul, the apostle, teaches us about love:

Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful.
It is not arrogant or rude.
Love does not insist on its own way.
It is not irritable or resentful.
It does not rejoice at wrong,
But rejoices in the right.
Love bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things.

In direct opposition to love, especially in the aftermath of altercation,
We find it entirely possible that:

Hate is rash and cruel.
Hate is not generous or modest.
It is not humble or courteous.
Hate does not allow for another's consideration.
It is not peaceful or glad for another's good fortune.
It does not rejoice in the right,
But rejoices in the wrong.
Hate resents all things,
Doubts all things,
Suspects all things,
Forsakes all things.

Let us look toward love and away from hate, lest we destroy all chance of decent, moral, or kind treatment of one another in any and all things.
